Nintendo never ceases to mystify these days. Nintendo continues to practice Apple-like hype skills, as it has registered a game known as 'Zelda Universe' for an ESRB rating, VentureBeat reports. The Legend of Zelda series has been around on Nintendo machines since the NES in the late 1980s. If you didn't know that, it's OK, we'll forgive you--this time. However, a closer look at the details of the registry reveal something interesting. Nintendo has registered Zelda Universe as an "online game," according to VentureBeat. Every Nintendo game before then has been registered for specific platforms like Wii or 3DS (pictured above), so this leads us to believe that the company is working on one of three things. You call it "wild speculation," we call it fun. A new Nintendo trademark for a game called Zelda Universe has been discovered online, although everything points towards it being merely some sort of Web browser mini-game. The second that the name was discovered at the ESRB, the American age rating board, rumours began to spill across the Internet that it relates to some super secret new game about to be announced at E3. In reality though it's probably just some browser game for Nintendo's official Zelda website, which is also called Zelda Universe. The ESRB listing even describes the format specifically as 'online', rather than Wii, 3DS (or Project Café). The most logical guess is it's some sort of mini-game to promote the upcoming Skyward Sword for Wii, the likes of which are common for any game's website. Currently there are two Zelda games on Nintendo's slate: a 3DS remake of the peerless Ocarina Of Time and Wii game Skyward Sword. Nintendo has registered a new "Online" game titled Zelda Universe, according to an entry on the Entertainment Software Rating Board's website. It looks like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword aren’t the only Zelda games in development at Nintendo.
The ESRB recently rated something called Zelda Universe, an “Online” game from Nintendo. The game received an “E For Everyone” rating due to “Violence.” Apparently Nintendo's got a new Zelda game in the works; it just got rated and its title makes it sound huge.
